SAS provides inspection of general cargo, agriculture commodity, industrial goods and others before exporting according to rules and regulations, performed by capable and experienced surveyors.
SAS carries out inspection and survey to ensure the intended cargo condition are loaded/discharged safely and in accordance with the requirements.
We provide the following services:
- Analysis of cargo according to vessel’s arrangement drawings to identify possible lashing patterns and securing arrangements
- Calculation of the required lashing forces
- Execution of a pre-loading survey to ascertain the pre-shipment condition
- Inspection of cargo holds, deck areas and lifting equipment
- Inspection of the intended dunnage and lashing material
- Monitoring the loading and securing process
- Issue of lashing certificates
- Inspection of cargo condition upon arrival and monitoring of discharge operation
SAS’ experienced team will also undertake quantity and quality survey to verify the compliance of regulations and requirements, and buyer specification.
SAS surveyors who work according to the defined international guidelines, could conduct a draught survey on behalf of the clients. When determining the weight and quantity of the cargo, our surveyors make a careful calculation and consider several key factors while making their survey report.
SAS surveyors are engaged in the stowage, lashing and securing of cargo on any type of vessels; monitoring safe handling and loading of cargo, giving advice on proper stowage and ship stability, then verifying the cargo units are duly lashed and secured. We also provide technical advice to issue the proper Stowage Plan.
We survey all kinds of cargo damage caused by irregularities prior to or during transportation, such as unsuitable carrying temperatures during transportation, physical damage caused during packing or handling, infestation by fungi, bacteria and vermin, deterioration during transit due to inherent vice, inadequate stowage, shifting of cargo due to insufficient securing, wetting damage caused by sea, liquid cargo spillage rain or condensation water, incorrect ventilation settings, insufficient cooling on reefer vessels or in reefer containers and produce a comprehensive survey report based on expertise of our competent team.
SAS provides a thorough tank inspection prior to cargo loading to verify the condition and suitability to carry the intended cargo. Our surveyors are experienced with tankers carrying both “clean” and “dirty” cargo.
SAS team conducts a thorough survey of containers, both of sound and damage to produce a comprehensive report. We also inspect containers to verify that they are suitable to carry the intended cargo or prior to an intended sale.
SAS team professionally and thoroughly inspects cargo holds prior to cargo loading to verify the cleanliness, condition of the hold spaces and suitability to carry the intended cargo in accordance with the requirements and regulations.
